You are invited to a magical summer afternoon of sweetness, creativity, and community at our 2nd Annual June Farms Cake Festival — a joyful tribute to the now-legendary Cake Picnic that began in San Francisco and took the world by storm.
The only rule as they say, is “No cake, no entry!” 🍰
Whether you’re a professional pastry chef, a passionate home baker, or someone picking up a beauty from your favorite local bakery, we invite you to bring a cake creation to share. Sweet or savory, classic or quirky — all cakes are welcome.
Here’s how it works:
1. Check-in and cake placement begins at 11am and concludes by 12:30pm. White-tableclothed picnic tables will line the event tent near The Pony Barn.
2. You must bring a cake plate, something to cut your cake with, and a sign that showcases your special cake! You can store your cake boxes and other items under the tent.
3. Once all the cakes are arranged, we’ll admire, photograph, and celebrate these edible works of art.
Then, a bell rings and the ultimate cake buffet begins: attendees will receive pastry boxes to collect slices and sample the incredible creations brought by the June Farms cake community.
4. The Cake Festival will begin at 1pm. At 2pm the Event Tent will open to the general public to view and “clean up” the remaining cakes! At 3pm we ask that you take your cake plates and signage home with you.
This isn’t just a picnic — it’s a living, breathing dessert dreamscape. Dress in your most festive picnic attire, bring your camera, and get ready to meet cake-lovers from all over. You’ll leave full of frosting, joy, and maybe a few new friends.

What your General Admission Ticket includes:
- Parking at June Farms
- Ability to walk around the farm and meet all of our happy farm animals
- Once the Cake Festival Ticket holders have sampled all of the cakes, you will be able to sample any of the left over cakes from 2-3pm!
- If you would like to view the cakes beforehand, or sample the cakes before 2pm, you MUST purchase a Cake Festival Ticket.
- If you have a friend who wants to participate in the Cake Festival, but you really just want to come to the farm and have a couple drinks and see the animals, then this is the ticket for you :)
Tickets are $20 and expected to sell out quickly. Please keep in mind that even with a Cake Festival Ticket…. NO CAKE NO ENTRY into the Cake Tent.
It is NOT one cake per family. If you are bringing 2 adults and 2 kids, then you will need to bring 4 cakes…. and purchase 4 tickets.
Dogs are not allowed at this event.
THERE WILL BE FOOD AND DRINKS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN THE PONY BARN.
If you purchase a ticket and cannot use it, please refund your tickets so that other eager cake bakers can attend!
Refunds will be given up to 48 hours before the event starts in the form of a June Farms gift card to attend a future June Farms event.
